Hotel Staff make sure you are at home, and try their best to satisfy your needs. eg, they managed to find us 2 connecting rooms on our 2nd day, though i didn't indicate beforehand.

The hotel room interior could do with a refresh.

The staff were helpful.

The hotel is currently under renovation. I booked the room about a month ago before staying and i was not informed. There was heavy knocking and drilling between 9am to 6pm.

Great location, delicious breakfast buffet, friendly staff. Very accommodating, able to get late check out and check in a little early.

The location, its history, the breakfast, and quality of the merchandise in the shops.

Perhaps because it’s an older property or perhaps because of the humidity in Shanghai, when we first went in the room, there was a musty smell, which went away after 1/2 day or so.

To Get a help for reheating the food is very complicated, suggest to have microwave available for guests self service to heat up food for medication purpose, save food and environmental friendly.

The location,the setting

It’s not convenient to find a proper charger socket in the room, the garden is beautiful, but there wasn’t a chair in the garden,we’d enjoy more if there are a few chairs in the garden.

Very comfortable, great location, and a lovely rooftop patio in an historic building. Breakfast is worth the splurge.

Everything was great in terms of location, cleanliness, views. Check-in was long and took too much time especially since I had checked-in online the day before arrival. It should have gone much faster but the staff were pleasant enough.

The facility is a bit old. Especially the bathroom.

The room was 20years out of date. Air con did not work properly. Room too small, bathroom needs complete update.

This hotel is in a wonderful location, the hotel is historic hotel, mainly for Japanese guests, nice garden.

The check-in very slow and the prices of hotel bar bloody expensive 3 juice over 300 RMB, equal 35 Euro, one espresso almost 9 Euro, even not in the high class bar of Milano city center or in Piazza San Marco in Venice, you pay this price, very very expensive, no sense.

Location was close to the metro. Neighborhood was lively. The garden was a nice bonus. Breakfast was yummy.

Friendly staff, good building, comformatble room.

Outdated bathroom facilities. Gym is not open till 7 am. It should be either 24 hour access or open a lot earlier, like 5 am. I complained about this previously.

The breakfast was great, a large range of options and fresh.The room was spacious and with a great view. Great location for nearby shopping, restaurants, cafes and bars. Great walking area. The decor could do with an upgrade but still in good condition. A good location for a first visit to Shanghai former french concession area. Reasonable rates, we did pay a bit more as they suggested a room with a larger room when we checked in. There is a bar on the top floor with more views.

Wonderful old style hotel, like the Okura in Tokyo used to be. Friendly and helpful staff, nice gym, delicious breakfast.

Wonderful like the Okura in Tokyo used to be 20 years ago. Stylish, old an beautiful great service, delicious breakfast, helpful staff, good gym and decadent sauna. Third stay and will return.
